Welcome to Little Crane Cafe
Established 1952 · Vader, Washington · 4 miles west of I-5 at Exit 59
A Vader, Washington tradition since 1952
Since 1952, Little Crane Cafe has been the gathering place of Vader, Washington — a small-town cafe on Highway 506, four miles west of I-5 at Exit 59. Whether you're a neighbor from Vader or Ryderwood, driving over from Winlock, Toledo, or Castle Rock, or a traveler in search of a real home-cooked meal, there's a seat at our table for you.
John and Ginny Dailey bought the cafe back in 1988 and ran it while giving back to the community they love. The spatula has since been handed to their son Jason — known to many as the Singing Chef — who now runs the Little Crane Cafe alongside the Little Crane family, including staff who've been with us for many, many years. For Nearly four decades, kids who grew up eating here, now bring in families of their own, and more friendships than we can count have formed around these tables.
The food is honest home cooking, served all day. Breakfast runs from open to close — Belgian waffles piled with strawberries, country omelets smothered in gravy, and classics done right. Lunch brings hand-built burgers, chef salads with house-roasted turkey, and different basket combinations. Evenings mean three-course dinner classics, and there's always homemade cake ready to go — our carrot cake has a following of its own.
Friday and Saturday nights starting at 4pm, it's Jason's famous Prime Rib — slow-cooked, carved to order, and served with potato of choice, green beans, soup or salad, and a dish of soft serve. Come early to claim your slice before it's gone.
Open every day 7am–8pm at 110 7th Street in Vader — dine in or swing through the drive-thru window until 8. Call (360) 295-3711. We'll see you soon.
Like the sign on our door says: “Enter as strangers, leave as friends.”
